Current Waipahu High School Senior of the Immortal Lions C/O 2026
I'm Angelina Alcantra-Pao and I'm currently a junior from Waipahu High School, whom is situated in the Academy of Industrial and Engineering Technology (AIET). I'm pursuing the pathway of Cybersecurity which by itself is the Academy of Information Technology (AOIT).
I have actively participated in several extracurricular initiatives, including becoming Vice-President and President of AOIT, LEO Club, serving as an IET Ambassador, and being a member of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) and SkillsUSA. In addition, I know various programming languages such as Java, SQL, Git, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Python. My technical skills extend to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), where I excel in creating impactful web maps, story maps, and dashboards. Furthermore, I have experience using design platforms like Figma, allowing me to blend technical expertise with creative design.
My focus after high school would be to major in Human Computer-Interaction/Human-Centered Computing. A major that studies and designs how humans interact with technology, aiming to create user-friendly and efficient systems. It's either that or Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a minor in Machine Learning or GIS

I shouldn't stick with 1 thing, thinking it is what my future should revolve around knowing I don't fully love it. Things change, interests change, and to find what I truly want to pursue I must embrace the new. Following this notion-Exploring a spectrum of technological strengths that fuel my passion to design empowering solutions that make a meaningful, positive impact that is situated for those who need it.
